I was recently reminded of our submission for the cover of our Nature Neuroscience (2019) paper, which unfortunately didn't get selected. It's a woodcut style cover designed by Janet Iwasa, in which the beautiful oxytocin neural circuit is overlaid on a fish experiencing a noxious (red outline) stimulus, induced by mustard oil (hence the mustard flower!)
